Surrounded by music and dance as a child, singer, songwriter and dancer, Katie Marino, knew she was predestined for fame. Born into a family who loved and embraced the arts, she was dancing before she could walk. She began as a classical ballet dancer, following in the steps of her mother. Katie then spent the greater part of her life perfecting her craft, as she pursued her love of performing. Marino studied all over the United States with prestigious ballet schools including the Houston Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and Ballet West. With age, she desired a better rounded curriculum and began mastering other forms of dance. Combined with her dance training, Katie also studied piano and voice. She described her love of music as an emotional and creative outlet. Once she discovered her passion for singing and songwriting, Katie focused her energy into creating music.

Katie has looked up to artists such as Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, and Christina Aguilera. With multi-platinum producer XL, Katie Marino was given an opportunity to polish her musical talent. She has written, co-produced, and recorded a multitude of songs with producers from the United States and the United Kingdom. A fusion of pop with Katie’s sultry voice sets off her unique sound.

Katie is on the edge of breaking through the music industry. She has already hit the 1 spot on MSN music, placed music on Gotham Racing 2 for X-BOX, landed a song on a feature film (I See You), performed national and international television jingles for Mattel (Fashion Fever, Shopping Barbie, Street Sweet, Day to Night, Glam Barbie, Charmed Barbie), and has placed several songs on television shows (America’s Next Top Model, Making the Band 4, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane). Ms. Marino is gaining a lot of momentum. Katie has also been involved with A.W.A.R.H.E., (Artists Wanting AIDS and HIV Related Education) an AIDS Awareness Campaign. The AIDS campaign toured the US and Canada in 2005-2006. Katie and five other music artists across the United States promoted HIV/AIDS prevention and education through music.

Katie is currently on tour with Jessica Simpson performing background vocals. Over the course of the tour she has performed on some of the Nation’s top television shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, Dancing with the Stars, The View, The CBS Early Show, Good Morning America, and Ellen DeGeneres. While on tour Katie has also perform at the NASCAR Sprint Cup and legendary Madison Square Gardens in NYC.
