This a flashback episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of Nov. 21, 2012 (originally from the week of March 25, 2009; due to us being on Thanksgiving Weekend vacation here in the States) with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

That week's commentary focused on some recent mainstream news stories about health disparities and issues for the Black community to other communities in the U.S. and some other things here and there.

We had a great interview with Soul Music Artist Tony Williams (http://www.myspace.com/thetonywilliams) from G.O.O.D. Music.

This interview was done right before the inauguration of U.S. President Barack Obama in D.C. where we takled about everything from Tony Williams' life & background, the importance of continuing a strong Black Music tradition, his influences, the music industry, his upcoming album "King or The Fool", the historical impact of having a Black American elected to be president and many other things!

Due to the length of this week's interview, we do not have new Black Agenda Report or Black University Radio Network (BURN) DIRECT EFX segments this week.

Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast over at our official blog, BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly.

** I was out of town this week due to having the awesome honor of being chosen to speak at TEDxOrlando 2012 - check them out at http://www.TEDxOrlando.com! In the meantime, here's one of our favorite radio shows from the FuseBox Radio Broadcast's vaults for folks to listen to and enjoy... **

This is a flashback episode of the FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of October 10, 2012 (original episode from the week of December 10, 2008) with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul music, news and commentary.

That week's commentary was on the finale of the 2nd OJ Simpson trial and why the Black American community could more or less not care about his sentencing due to being arrogant and non-thinking, how Black American athletes were not having a good week (Plaxico Burress, etc.), the passing of Hip-Hop MC and D.I.T.C. member Party Arty and some other things.

  Photobucket

We also had an interview this week on the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with documentary director Kevin Booth of "American Drug War: The Last White Hope" (http://www.AmericanDrugWar.com).

Some topics covered in our talk include some of the history of the Drug War in America, some of the unfairness that's in the legal system for those who do illegal drugs (long prison terms, little rehabilitation programs for those who need them, racial and economic disparities with those arrested, etc.), what made some drugs illegal and some not in the eyes of the government, the ways the documentary was completed both on the record and undercover ways and some other interesting things.

We do not have new  Black Agenda Report and Black University Radio Network (BURN) DIRECT EFX news segments on this week's broadcast due to our interview.

Feel free to check out some recent episodes of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast over at our official blog, BlackRadioIsBack.com - all of the shows are clean/radio friendly.

This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of May 5, 2010 is a rebroadcast of the show from the week of August 20, 2008 which contains some Old and Classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

This week we had a on point interview with author Douglas A. Blackmon for his book, Slavery By Another Name: The Re-Enslavement of Black Americans from the Civil War to World War II (now currently out on Doubleday Books), which "brings to light one of the most shameful chapters in American history—when a cynical new form of slavery was resurrected from the ashes of the Civil War and re-imposed on hundreds of thousands of African-Americans until the dawn of World War II" by throwing Black Men, Women and Children into prison in the South for labor purposes under false pretenses to be arrested.

Feel free to hit him up the official book website, http://www.SlaveryByAnotherName.com.

Due to the interview, there is no new segment of Black Agenda Report and no Direct EFX segment (due to summer break for colleges).
