FuseBox Radio Broadcast for Week of August 19, 2009

Direct mp3 Download (right click and "save as")
Direct mp3 Download Backup (right click and "save as"; via Blip.TV)

This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Jon Judah for the week of August 19, 2009 with some new and classic Hip-Hop & Soul Music, news and commentary.

Our commentary this week focused on more of the crazy nonsense happening at the U.S. "Town Halls" about Health Care (including people standing outside with assault rifles and handguns) and how they're more and more becoming a huge barometer of the issues people still have with race & class in this country, U.S. Football player Michael Vick's release from prison & his interview on 60 Minutes, the passing of journalist Robert Novak and some other things here & there.

This week we had an interview with up and coming independent Hip-Hop MC Rockstar (http://WhoIsRockStar.com).

Some of the topics we covered with this very talented young MC was his influences (family, in music and otherwise), how it has been working as an independent MC though the years, especially in his area of the U.S. South, doing good business, how to use the Internet & how NOT to use it properly, his "1 A.M. Tour", upcoming music projects and lot of other things!

This week we don't have new Black Agenda Report segment due to the length of our interview. The Direct EFX segments will return at the end of the HBCU's college summer break period in September 2009.

New Mixtape + T-Shirt Series: Fresh Connection Designs + FuseBox Radio Broadcast = CoonBusters (Bring REAL Black Entertainment Back!)

What's going on Trunk Hustlers Supporters - hope the week has been going pretty well so far. :)

The
FuseBox Radio Broadcast crew has been working on a lot of projects recently and this is one of them...support if you can and are feeling the concept!
The COONBUSTERS campaign of upcoming anti-iCoonery T-Shirt designs and mixtapes was a collaboration initiated by DJ Fusion of the syndciated FuseBox Radio Broadcast/BlackRadioIsBack.com and the Fresh Connection Designs Clothing Company (http://www.FreshConnectionDesigns.com) since the acceptance of ego tripping in the public eye, showing off rented jewelry and homes on TV and doing ridiculous dances became the new lifestyle.

Since the creation of Hip-Hop, emcees, rappers, producers, graffiti artists, DJs and fans have all contributed their talents to the culture.

With their talents comes reckless behavior.

It plagues thousands upon thousands of Entertainers, Athletes and Business Professionals worldwide.

What is it?

COONERY!

Coonery is one of the more lethal Pandemics of the 21st century among African Americans.

The shucking and jiving of many African American talents within Hip-Hop, the Entertainment Industry and their fans has gradually overwhelmed the airwaves, television screens and the streets.

Many of our younger generation are “Swag Surfin’” along to music videos rather than learning, enjoying & appreciating knowledge about the originators of Hip-Hop, R&B, Jazz and other forms of Black/Urban Music (much less being exposed to current people on the entertainment scene).

"Who You Gonna Call?” to stop the buffoonery in the entertainment industry?

COONBUSTERS!

The buffoonery acts of rappers, entertainers and athletes will hopefully at least have people think about what sort of "entertainment" effects has on ourselves and others with the COONBUSTERS line of T-Shirts & mixtapes when people hear and see them out in your area.

COONBUSTERS….Coming to save the GAME one move at a time starting August 2009!
To check out & purchase the latest men's & women's designs of the anti-iCoonery T-Shirt Line (which are on SALE NOW), you can go directly to this link on the Fresh Connection Designs Website here.

TRUNK HUSTLERS PRINA PRESENTS..... "AGAINST THE GRAIN MAGAZINE"

Publisher Malcolm Patterson created Against the Grain magazine out of necessity. Malcolm is a Publisher, 17-year Master Barber and owner of Noonie’s House, a thriving barbershop in Houston, Texas. He has developed an executive team second to none which consists of Hilton LaSalle, VP of Corporate Affairs, Dwayne Thompson, VP of Marketing and Sales, and Andre Walker, Music and Entertainment Director and many others who have all become a part of this growing phenomenon called Against the Grain Magazine the "Barbershop Live and Direct"

After opening the barbershop in 2002, Malcolm immediately began to search for barbershop entertainment for his customers through local and national magazines including barber periodicals and catalogs. Finding no magazines specifically focused on the profession of barbering, he started his own in 2005. Since then, the industry has grown and there has been an explosion of interest in the barbering industry through television, film and the Internet.

Against the Grainhas cutting-edge editorial addressing the interests of today’s savvy and educated barbers while adding flavor to the barbershop scene. Each issue will take the reader on a behind-the-scenes journey of the barber profession, covering sports, entertainment, lifestyle, politics, family and education.

Produced quarterly and Houston-based, its readers are mainly discerning males, master barbers and those who are new to the barbering industry. Our clients, vendors, barber suppliers, and even the mainstream will find the editorial off-the-cuff, bold and enlightening. Since women now make up a large part of the barbering scene we offer informative articles and trends for our skilled and educated female readers.

There are now over 230,000 licensed barbers, 130,000 active shops, and 800 barber schools in the United States. Estimates show that there are more than 400,000 barbering professionals and 300,000 shops outside of the U.S. worldwide. We intend to grow this industry to esteem the barber and find employment for the hundreds of students coming out of our barber schools.
Against the Grainis available nationally in 36 cities, select barbershops, barber supply houses, retail stores, venues targeting men and women in the barbering industry , and by subscription. Please look for Against the Grain Magazine as we circle the globe looking for new trends and exciting changes in the barbering industry.
